Meat Pro Asia 2025 concludes, attracting a 10 percent increase of global visitors as the premier packaging and processing event in the region

Wrapping up on 14 March, Meat Pro Asia welcomed a record 9,848 visitors from 99 countries and regions over three days, as industry players looked to source from 150 exhibitors. The show built on the success of the first edition to further cement its status as an essential event in the trade fair calendar for packaging and processing players in Southeast Asia. Feedback spotlighted the high quality of attendees and opportunities, which set the stage for networking, knowledge sharing, and business exchanges. This atmosphere resonated throughout the fairground, as the strong synergy between Meat Pro Asia and its co-located events, VIV Asia and Horti Agri Next Asia, combined to attract over 51,000 visitors from 129 countries and regions, creating an influential meeting space for the food industry.

Meat Pro Asia 2025 opens this week, spotlighting international influence and local strengths through comprehensive conference programme and exhibits

Global suppliers and industry leaders are set to gather across 10,000 sqm at Challenger 1, IMPACT, Bangkok from 12 – 14 March this week for the second edition of Meat Pro Asia, Asia’s premier processing and packaging trade fair for egg, poultry, meat, seafood, and food products. The event will see 121 exhibitors presenting groundbreaking innovations in processing, packaging, automation, cold chain logistics, IoT, quality control, hygiene, and more. In addition to the diverse array of exhibits, the conference programme will see over 50 speakers discuss the latest trends and technologies in the industry, such as food safety, efficient processing methods, and sustainability, over two full days.

“All the relevant buyers are here”: first ever Meat Pro Asia attracts 8,894 trade visitors

A strong turnout of trade visitors from across the ASEAN region has confirmed Meat Pro Asia as an essential new addition to the meat and food processing and packaging event calendar. Despite being a new player in the industry, the fair was lauded for attracting top-quality participants, with exhibitors in particular noting the high calibre of buyers and the clear potential for the fair to grow at future editions. Closing its doors on 10 March, the three days fair drew 8,894 visitors from 89 countries worldwide to source from over 100 exhibitors. Taking place in co-location with VIV Asia, the most influential event for feed to food in the region, the two fairs drew a combined total of 47,527 visitors.

Meat Pro Asia debuts this week with sustainability, future food headlining conference programme

A new chapter for the meat processing and packaging industry begins in South East Asia this week as the first edition of Meat Pro Asia gets underway from 8 – 10 March. Using the fair as a launching pad to a wide range of relevant food producers, manufacturers and retailers from the region, over 100 exhibitors from 20 plus countries and regions are taking part, while 20 plus seminar and forum sessions are scheduled, headlined by future food, sustainability and food safety.

Exhibitors to showcase solutions that counter rising meat prices at next month’s Meat Pro Asia

With global meat prices rising more than 10% in 2022, reliable processing methods and quality assurance are becoming vital pieces of the puzzle when it comes to reducing costs from wastage and extracting maximum value from the food processing chain. With the exhibitor line-up for next month’s inaugural edition of Meat Pro Asia now confirmed, it’s clear that these considerations will be at the top of the agenda in Bangkok from 8 – 10 March. The focus will be on how to deliver meat from farm to table in a cost effective and scalable way, with more than 80 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions participating.

Meat Pro Asia defered to March 2023 to provide more certainty for participants

In view of ongoing outbreaks of Covid-19 across Thailand, as well as continued uncertainty regarding travel restrictions and the timeline for full economic reopening, the organisers of Meat Pro Asia have decided to reschedule the fair from its original dates in January 2022 to the new timeslot of 8 – 10 March 2023. The change will see Meat Pro Asia return to its biennial event cycle in March every two years beginning from the 2023 fair onwards. VIV Asia, the largest event from feed to food in the region, has also been postponed, with the two events now set to take place alongside each other in March 2023 at IMPACT Challenger Halls 1 – 3, Bangkok.

Meat Pro Asia rescheduled to January 2022 due to travel restrictions

To mitigate the impact of domestic and international travel restrictions, Meat Pro Asia, originally scheduled for September 2021, has been rearranged to the new timeslot of 12 – 14 January 2022. The move will see the dedicated event for food processing machinery and packaging technology better accommodate the planning and logistical needs of its participants. VIV Asia, the concurrent event covering the entire supply chain from feed to food, has also been rescheduled to January 2022, with both events set to be held alongside each other at IMPACT, Bangkok. To encourage business during the interim period, a digital networking, deal making and learning event will be arranged in September 2021.

Inaugural edition of Meat Pro Asia postponed to September 2021

After consultations with the fair’s key stakeholder groups, the organisers of Meat Pro Asia, Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd and VNU Asia Pacific, have announced the postponement of the event due to travel restrictions impacting inbound travel to Thailand. The new processing and packaging trade fair for the ASEAN market, originally arranged from 10 – 12 March 2021 at IMPACT, Bangkok, has been rescheduled to 22 – 24 September 2021 at the same venue.

In a strategic expansion into the growing food technology sector, Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd and VNU Asia Pacific, announce a partnership to jointly organise ‘Meat Pro Asia’, a new trade show dedicated to meat and food processing and catering to the ASEAN region. The show will take place on a biennial basis in co-location with VIV Asia – the no.1 international trade show from Feed to Food in Asia. The inaugural edition will open its doors on 10-12 March 2021 at IMPACT, Bangkok, Thailand.
